Dr. Shoshannah L. Kantor
Dr. Shoshannah L. Kantor earned the Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences at the University of Vermont in 2007. Dr. Kantor split her fellowship year training with Dr. Gail Linn at Potomac Audiology and with the audiologists at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Kantor continues to work closely with NNMC as the clinical coordinator for a multi-site study evaluating the effectiveness of tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT).
While attending Northeastern University, Dr. Kantor gained clinical experience at many different practicum sites including the Boston VA Medical Center, Children’s Hospital Boston, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the National Naval Medical Center. Prior to attending graduate school for audiology, Dr. Kantor worked as an audiology assistant at the University of Vermont’s Speech and Hearing Clinic. Dr. Kantor has received awards for clinical excellence in audiology at both Northeastern University and the University of Vermont.
Dr. Kantor’s clinical specialties include adult diagnostics and hearing aid fittings, real-ear measurement, tinnitus management, and newborn infant hearing screening. Away from work, Dr. Kantor enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and swimming and she also enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
